Al-Qaeda in Iraq Issues a Statement Warning the “Crusaders who aimlessly Bombed Talafar,” and Claims Responsibility for Suicide Operations on American and Iraqi Forces in Mosul, al-Qaim, and Falluja
By SITE Institute
July 11, 2005

Al-Qaeda in Iraq, in four separate communiqués issued within the past 24 hours, issues a warning to the ?crusaders who aimless bombed Talafar,? and claims responsibility for a suicide bombing yesterday, July 10, 2005, targeting an Iraqi police patrol in Mosul, two suicide bombings upon a ?Customs House? in al-Qaim, near the Syrian border, and another suicide operation on an American patrol in Falluja.

The first communiqué accuses American forces of executing a ?crime? yesterday in bombing the area of al-Saray in Talafar. The attacks allegedly killed Muslims and injured others, to which the group questions: ?who is killing people and slaying the innocent, as they say??

A suicide bombing yesterday targeting an Iraqi police patrol in al-Sawamya is described in the second communiqué, where ?not less than nine converters were killed.?

Also yesterday, as stated in the third message, another suicide bomber detonated himself on a ?crusaders? patrol? in al-Karma, east of Falluja, allegedly killing seven people.

The fourth communiqué describes a dual suicide bombing in al-Qaim, targeting a customs house building which was ?full of American snipers and tens of the crusaders and converters? soldiers.? According to the message, the building was ?completely destroyed? and dozens of people were killed.

A full translation of the four messages is provided to our Intel Service members.
