Abu Hafs al-Masri Brigades Extends the Timetable for European Withdrawal from Iraq to One Month, Threatening the Capitals of Denmark, Holland, Britain, and Italy with Action if there is Non-Compliance
By SITE Institute
July 19, 2005

The Abu Hafs al-Masri Brigades issued a statement dated Saturday, July 16, 2005, announcing that this, their last written message, was a renewal of the ultimatum to the European countries that continue to maintain troops in Iraq that they have one month to ?think carefully about your policies towards Islam and Muslims? and remove their soldiers from Iraq. The message specifically mentions Denmark, Holland, Britain, and Italy, and threatens their capitals with action and a ?fierce war for the sake of Allah? if their respective governments do not comply with the ultimatum.

The group promises that the mujahideen will not rest until the ?oppressive hand? is removed from the Muslim Nation, and claims that ?crushing the European cities is not more than self-defense of Muslim souls….?

The Abu Hafs Brigade has claimed responsibility for the bombings in London on July 7, 2005, and has also issued communiqués claiming responsibility for the train bombings in Madrid last year on March 11, 2004, that killed nearly 200 people. The group also took credit for a pair of hotel bombings in August 2004 in Istanbul.

A full translation of the message is provided to our Intel Service members.
