Al-Qaeda in Iraq Claims Responsibility for Attacking Workers in al-Khalis and Announces Results from Battles in Rawah

Al-Qaeda in Iraq, in two additional communiqués issued today, July 19, 2005, claims responsibility for attacking a truck carrying workers ?supporting the crusaders? in al-Khalis today, and announces the results of today?s battle in Rawah, western Iraq, including suicide operations on a ?convoy of crusaders and converters? and trapping the enemy in several ambushes with explosive packages. The group alleges that they have killed over fifty in this combination of attacks, and state: ?Your brothers do not defend the city of Rawah only; they defend Islam and its people everywhere.?
