Al-Qaeda in Iraq Claims Responsibility for the Assassination of Two Officers of the Iraqi National Guards in al-Moshahada, and Announces the Results of Their Attacks in al-Yousefya, South of Baghdad

In two communiqués issued today, July 20, 2005, al-Qaeda in Iraq claims responsibility for the assassination yesterday of two officers of the Iraqi National Guards in al-Moshahada, north of Baghdad, and announces the results of the ?harvest? in al-Yousefya, south of Baghdad. As part of this ?harvest,? the group claims multiple bombing operations and rocket attacks on American and Iraqi patrols between Monday, July 18, and Tuesday.
