Al-Qaeda in Iraq [Tanzeem Qaedat Al-Jihad Fi Bilad Al-Rafidayn] issued a statement today, July 27, 2005, announcing the execution of the two Algerian diplomats, Ali Belarouci and Azzedin Belkadi, who were allegedly sent to ?establish the Jews and Christians? existence in the Land of Two Rivers.? The group states that no one raised their voice when Muslim women were captured in Rawah and Kortanya, but people are ?furious? about the abduction of the Algerians. The message praises the mujahideen who successfully abducted the diplomats, and reaffirm their statement that Iraq is ?hell for all non-believers.?
Further, al-Qaeda in Iraq denounces the Algerian government for purportedly harming Muslims, especially ?our brothers in the Salafist Group for Call and Combat (GSPC).? The message also references allegations made about Azzedin Belkadi?s attacks on Muslims, which appeared in a statement issued by the GSPC addressed to the mujahideen in Iraq.
