Al-Qaeda in Iraq Claims Responsibility for a Suicide Bombing Targeting Americans Soldiers and Iraqi National Guards in Talafar and an Attack in al-Buheshma

In a second wave of communiqués today, July 27, 2005, al-Qaeda in Iraq claims responsibility for a suicide bombing today targeting a gathering of American soldiers and Iraqi National Guards in al-Ayada, in Talafar, and an attack on an American convoy in al-Busheshma, north of Baghdad.

The first communiqué states that today a suicide bomber, who was an ?immigrant from the Island of Muhammad? (Saudi Arabia), detonated a ?Chevrolet car? carrying one and half tons of explosives a gathering of American soldiers and Iraqi National Guards al-Ayada, in Talafar. According to the message, the explosion killed at least 25 Americans and 20 Iraqis, and destroyed several vehicles.

The second message describes a bombing operation today on an American convoy in al-Buheshma, north of Baghdad, which allegedly destroyed an American tank.
