Ansar al-Sunnah Claims Responsibility for the Murder of Iraqi Officials in Mosul and Baghdad, and Attacks upon American and Iraqi Forces in Baquba, Ramadi, and al-Fallujah

In five separate communiqués issued yesterday, August 6, 2005, Ansar al-Sunnah claims responsibility for the assassination of a lieutenant Colonel of the Iraqi National Guards in Mosul, stating: ?[t]his converter had a prominent role in appointing the officers and we will promise other officers like him with the same destiny,? the murder of two members of the ?Wolf Brigade? in Baghdad, and bombings and attacks targeting American and Iraqi forces in Baquba, Ramadi, and al-Fallujah.
