Al-Qaeda in Iraq [Tanzeem Qaedat Al-Jihad Fi Bilad Al-Rafidayn], in seven messages issued yesterday, August 6, 2005, claims responsibility for the assassination of a Police Captain in al-Za?afraniya, Baghdad, suicide bombings against American convoys in al-Haqlaniya, in Haditha, and attacks upon American and Iraqi Forces in Baghdad, al-Fallujah, and Ramadi:

  1. Claims Responsibility of Assassinating Captain Kamal at al-Za?afraniya Police
  2. Claims Responsibility of Attacking a Police Patrol at al-Qahera district in Baghdad
  3. Claims Responsibility of Destroying a Humvee Vehicle in al-Fallujah
  4. Claims Responsibility of Destroying an Amphibious Tank at Amiriyat in al-Fallujah
  5. Claims Responsibility of Gunning Down Five Crusaders in al-Ramadi
  6. Claims Responsibility of The Two martyrdom Bombing Operations in Haditha
  7. Announcing the Harvest of al-Moushahada, al-Tarmiya and Albou Hashma During the Last Few Days
