Al-Qaeda in Iraq Claims Responsibility of Assassinating Several al-Ghadr Brigade Members in Talafar and al-Za’afaraniya, a Suicide Bombing in al-Taji, and Attacks upon American and Iraqi Forces Throughout Iraq

In twelve separate communiqués issued today, August 9, 2005, al-Qaeda in Iraq claims responsibility for assassinating several al-Ghadr Brigade members in Talafar and al-Za?afaraniya, and executing suicide bombing operations and attacks on American and Iraqi forces in al-Maerya, al-Mosul, Talafar, Samarra, and Baghdad.

  8. Claims Responsibility of Damaging a Tank in al-Ishaqi, North of Baghdad
  9. Claims Responsibility of an Attack on a Mixed Patrol in al-Khatib, and Announces Killing of 4 Officers
  10. Claims Responsibility of Assassinating Six from al-Ghadr Brigade in al-Za?afaraniya
  11. Claims Responsibility of a Suicidal Operation on the Crusaders in al-Taji
