Al-Qaeda in Iraq Claims Responsibility of Assassinating Three al-Ghadr Members in al-Khalis, Bombing American Forces in al-Mosul and al-Fallujah, and Attacking Iraqi National Guard Quarters in Beiji

In four separate communiqués issued today, August 11, 2005, al-Qaeda in Iraq [Tanzeem Qaedat Al-Jihad Fi Bilad Al-Rafidayn] claims responsibility for the assassination of three al-Ghadr Brigade members in al-Khalis, a bombing operation targeting an American armored car in al-Mosul, and an attack allegedly destroying an amphibious tank in al-Amiriya, in al-Fallujah, yesterday; also, today, the group struck the quarters of the Iraqi National Guards in Beiji, killing eight guards and wounding another six.
