Jihadist Forum Member Entreats Sheikh Abu Musab al-Zarqawi to Target the “Holy Book Association,” a Christian Missionary Group in Iraq
By SITE Institute
August 18, 2005

A message addressed to Sheikh Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and the mujahideen in Iraq concerning the ?Holy Book Association? and the dissemination of Bibles, was posted today, August 18, 2005, to a password-protected al-Qaeda affiliated forum. The author, incensed with the actions of the group, believes the missionary work is ?fighting our religion in our Muslim countries,? and questions if the mujahideen can respond to what he envisions as a threat.

The author cites as article reported by IslamMemo News Agency (an online Arabic-language news site focusing on jihad-related news, www.islammemo.cc ), which explains that a ?Christian campaign? is underway in Baghdad, spearheaded by a ?Holy Book? association that is leading seminars for Iraqi children, organizing circles with Christian scholars, and distributing thousands of Bibles in Arabic languages.

A full translation of the message is provided to our Intel Service members.
