Al-Qaeda in Iraq Issues a Series of Statements Claiming Responsibility for Four Attacks

Al-Qaeda in Iraq issued four communiqués claiming responsibility for separate attacks on American forces in Iraq.

The first communiqué claims that on Saturday August 20, 2005, the al-Qaeda Organization ?detonated an explosive package on a crusader convoy in the area of al-Sayediya. A humvee was destroyed.?

On Sunday, August 21, 2005, al-Qaeda in Iraq asserts ?a lion of al-Bara bin Malik suicide brigades of the al-Qaeda organization in the land of two rivers mingled in a cross worshipper's convoy, in the area of al-Dawra at the intersection of the two-story bridge. Two vehicles were destroyed, killing and injuring all who were inside, thank Allah.?

The third message says the mujahideen ?confronted the crusaders in the city of Rawa. The viewed losses were three vehicles.? No casualties were mentioned in this attack.

The fourth communiqué claims responsibility for an improvised explosive attack in Talafar that ?damaged and armored vehicle and completely destroyed a Humvee, killing all inside, thanks to Allah.?
