Al-Qaeda in Iraq Provides Details of Suicide Bombing in an American Base in Baquba, and Claims Responsibility for Bombings on American Vehicles in Baghdad

In three communiqués issued today, al-Qaeda in Iraq claims responsibility for destroying an American tank in Arab Jabbour in Baghdad, and an armored vehicle in Ibrahim bin Ali, both yesterday, and provides details about the suicide bombing yesterday on an American base in Baquba.

According to the statement detailing the suicide bombing in Baquba, the suicidal brigade of al-Qaeda in Iraq prepared for the operation for nearly a month, taking measure of the building?s defenses and the location of high ranking officers? departments. The suicide bomber detonated his explosive belt in the hall room crowded with ?Americans and scholars,? and the group claims that nine Americans and nine Iraqis were killed in the explosion, and the ?crusaders? moral was completely down. Media reports indicate that thirteen people were killed in the attack, including eight Iraqi police officers, an American soldier, and a contractor.
