A series of two statements posted to a password-protect al-Qaeda affiliated forum about the happenings in al-Madina al-Monawara in Saudi Arabia, were issued today, August 24, 2005, by a member who calls himself, ?Good Doer.? The first statement warns the ?suspected brothers? who travel to al-Madina to be cautious of security sweeps by Saudi officials, and avoid ?fixed telephone lines and Internet cafes which ask for ID.?
In the second statement, the ?Good Doer? states that a ?reliable source in al-Madina al-Monawara Airport? assured that on this past Sunday, soldiers from Riyadh received nine people, ?blindfolded and handcuffed,? who were arrested last Thursday, and were believed to have been sent to al-Haer jail. According to media reports, nine men were arrested in a combination of six different locations on Thursday, August 18, following raids made by Saudi security officials in Riyadh and Medina on suspected terrorist houses.
