Jihadist Forum Member Questions Why Sheikh Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and the Iraqi Mujahideen Donít Attack al-Iraqi Channel
By SITE Institute
August 25, 2005

A message posted to a password-protected al-Qaeda affiliated forum yesterday, August 24, 2005, questions why Sheikh Abu Musab al-Zarqawi is ?neglecting this devil in Iraq,? the al-Iraqi Channel. The author claims that the channel has humiliated the mujahideen ?in front of the world,? as they air footage of their capture and interrogation, at the same time as the broadcaster allegedly insults them as calls them ?bad names.? He then requests that the mujahideen ?hit it.?

Members replying to the message, besides chastising the author for not addressing Zarqawi and the mujahideen with due respect, agree that the Iraqi channels would make a good target for the ?war on information media.? They brand al-Iraqi a ?Zionist channel? and a ?cursed channel;? however, one member in particular alerts that the channels are located in the Green Zone, and if the mujahideen were to go there, they would hit more ?important targets, like the American and British embassies, also, the Iraqi government.?
