Ansar al-Sunnah Claims Responsibility for Spate of Attacks upon American and Iraqi Forces in al-Mosul, Tikrit, and Baghdad

Ansar al-Sunnah, in fifteen communiqués issued today, August 26, 2005, claims responsibility for several bombing operations and attacks on American and Iraqi forces in al-Mosul, Tikrit, and Baghdad between Wednesday, August 24, and today:

  1. Bombing a Car of the National Guard with a RPG Rocket in the City of al-Mosul
  2. Assassination of Three Converters: Two of the Secret Police and One from the National Guard
  3. Detonating Series of Explosive Packages on Crusaders
  4. Detonating an Explosive Package on an Armored Vehicle Belonging to the Crusaders in the City of al-Mosul
  5. Killing Six of the Non-Believers? Forces by Detonating an Explosive Package
  6. Burning Three Police Cars in an Attack with Machine Guns
  7. Attack with Machine Guns on a Converters Police Patrol in al-Mosul
  8. Damaging a Humvee with an Attack with Machine Guns in al-Mosul
  9. Attack on a Crusaders? Convoy with Machine Guns in al-Mosul
  10. Attack on a Crusaders? Patrol with Machine Guns in al-Mosul
  11. Attack on a Crusaders? Convoy with Machine Guns in al-Mosul
  12. Launching a Katyusha Rocket on the American Forces Base in al-Owja
  13. Bombing the American Forces? Base in Tikrit with Three Mortar Shells
  14. Detonating of an Explosive Package on a Crusaders? Troop Transportation Vehicle in al-Yusefiya
  15. Killing Seven Converters By Detonating an Explosive Package on Their Patrol
