Ansar al-Sunnah Claims Responsibility for Strikes Upon Water Pipelines and Oil Pipelines, Attacking Iraqi Forces in Samarra, and Assassinating an Iraqi National Guard Member in Mosul
By SITE Institute
August 30, 2005

In four separate communiqués issued today, August 30, 2005, Ansar al-Sunnah claims responsibility for strikes upon pipelines, supplying water and oil, respectively, to Americans in Baghdadi, south of Haditha, and in Kirkuk, and attacking Iraqi forces in Samarra, north of Baghdad, and assassinating an Iraqi National Guard member in al-Yarmouk district in Mosul.

Concerning the oil pipeline which was attacked in Kirkuk, the group notes: ?But how impossible it is going to be for them, as long as there are men in the land, do what keeps the mind of the crusaders and their allies busy. They want to steal the wealth of the Muslims, and By the Name of Allah, we will burn it before it becomes theirs.?

A full translation of the four messages is provided to our Intel Service members.
