Tawhid Wal Jihad Documents its "Accomplishments" before Changing Name
By SITE Institute
October 25, 2004

On October 16, 2004, Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi?s ?Tawhid Wal Jihad? Group published an electronic book on the internet. The volume documents the part played by Zarqawi?s group in the Islamist insurgency in Iraq. It features, among other items, an introduction describing the background and ideology of the group, Zarqawi?s biography, transcripts of all his audio messages, a section on Abu Anas Al-Chami, the late spiritual leader of the group, including his collected writings; a list of the group?s ?accomplishments,? including a series of beheadings, and all communiqués issued by the group.

The book was the last posting under the ?Tawhid Wal Jihad? name, which was changed to ?Tanzeem Qaedat Al-Jihad Fi Bilad Al-Rafidayn? [Organization of Qaeda of the Jihad in the Land of Two Rivers] after the group pledged fealty to Usama Bin Laden on October 17, 2004.

A brief description and partial translation of the book is available to our paid subscribers.
