Ansar al-Sunnah Claims Responsibility of Detonating Explosives on American Convoys in Balad and Kirkuk, Firing Rockets on Coalition Forces North of Baghdad, Haditha, and al-Mosul, and Attacking a National Guard Checkpoint in al-Mosul

Ansar al-Sunnah, in seven communiqués issued today, September 16, 2005, claims responsibility of detonating improvised explosive devices (IED) on American convoys in Balad, Kirkuk, and on the main road between Baghdad and al-Mosul, near al-Ishaki, firing rockets upon coalition forces north of Baghdad, an American base in Haditha, and another in al-Mosul, and attacking an Iraqi National Guard checkpoint in the center of Ba?at, in al-Mosul.
